You are invited to an open board meeting for Park Valley Association on Wednesday, May 25th 2016 at the home of Mark Panger at:

600 5th Ave S

6:30pm - 7:30pm.

I'm pretty sure we'll have lemonade and cookies, but feel free to bring a beverage of your choice.  We hope you will join us to learn more about the association governance.  The following shows how long we've been around.

A little bit of Park Valley history from one who has been here only 15 years.

The Park Valley Neighborhood Association has been around since the early 1950's.  It started with the articles of incorporation.  You can see more of these documents at http://pvassoc.com/archives.html

Parties - lots of parties

The early days were rich with neighborhood parties 60's style. These photos provide a glimpse of that earlier time here in Park Valley.

This article is undated, but I surmise from its tone this was the 60's or very early 70's.

Readers of this page may be too young to remember when our mothers would send us off to one of our neighbors to get some butter or milk or sugar that was needed for the recipe being worked on in that moment.

This financial statement from 1986 shows how much was spent on the spring party.  In 2015 dollars that's about $2,300.

By comparison, our annual fall picnic held currently costs roughly $800.

Life moves along and inevitiable changes bring new moments to enjoy.  The Park Valley Association is still active with Santa home visits, ice cream socials, and of course...

The current Park Valley board invites the participation of our new neighbors.  In 2002 I was "elected" as board president.  I was remodeling my house at the time and I found these pictures of the first meeting I held.  It looks different now.
